In this Arduino simulator example, we are going to build an LED blinking circuit. We are going to use Arduino Uno for this. In the right toolbar, click on the search field and type “Arduino”. Arduinos would start showing. Click on the Arduino Uno. Now click anywhere on the left empty space and an Arduino Uno will appear on the workspace. This Arduino simulator allows the user to use any type of Arduino development board that is Arduino UNO, Arduino MEGA etc also it can simulate the code and hardware for the liquid circuit display. Emulare Arduino Simulator:This Arduino simulator stands at prominent among other Simulators due t0 its unique features. Arduino Simulator for PC. It is also one of the best Arduino simulators for several reasons. These reasons include its cross-platform functions, sketching projects, debugging sketches and the ability to conveniently and easily develop complex ideas. It can work both on Windows and for Linux.

Question 1: What Are the Useful Features to Be Present in an Arduino Simulator?

A good Arduino simulator should have these features:

  1. Support multiple file projects📁📂📂🗄🗃 (*.h, *.cpp and more)
  2. It should be able to use Arduino libraries (not just a few😟 but all😀)
  3. Latest🆕 Arduino version should be used by default (Reason and more info)
  4. Support various trending projects which have many users - FastLED support, OLED, TFT colour LCD, NeoPixel 🤩 and more
  5. Arduino Mega simulations and Arduino nano simulations
  6. Examples for Demo projects (for example: famous libraries on GitHub)
  7. Should be able to run on multiple platforms - Windows, Mac as well as Android (Mobile devices 📱)
  8. Sharing🌏🌐 options so that it will be easy to share code with others (to get help, to get a review or some additions done)
  9. Be Smart
    1. Support code auto-complete
    2. support code formatting
    3. special useful debug features (example FPS and LED 🚥💡⚡Watt indicator for LED projects) etc
  10. Features provided should not be limited
    1. some NeoPixel Arduino projects have limitations👎 on the number of LEDs that can be connected
  11. Simulated parts: A good Arduino simulator is as good as the number of useful simulated elements it has. If the simulated elements are less, either the project will be handicapped or there will be less motivation.
  12. Support- There is no software tool which will be free of bugs or which will be in need of improvements. There should be a commitment from the developers to keep the tool up-to-date and also respond to the users in a timely manner. A tool which stops updating is a no go

PS: <please suggest if I should add any other points>

Question 2: How Many Files and Filetypes Are Supported in Wokwi Arduino Simulator?

There is always a need to add more functions to the project which will be done via the library. this will provide more useful features to the existing projects as well. Wokwi Arduino simulator supports library files written in C *.c, CPP *.cpp and the header *.h files, without any restrictions.

Other file types supported by standard Arduino IDEare also supported.

Many simulators fail here as they either support only built-in libraries or doesn't support the external libraries at all. This is a disadvantage of using other simulators because in this world of open-source there are so many useful libraries out there for multiple projects, it will be a big loss for a learner to not to have the ability to play with them.

Question 3: How Does Wokwi Arduino Simulation Always Uses Latest Arduino Version?

Wokwi doesn't ask you to download any software package

it also doesn't need any installations

These two steps are avoided making the user free of maintenance work (frequent updates or outdated IDE usage are upfront avoided)

Question 4: What Are Some Interesting Library Examples Wokwi Hosts?

Wokwi Arduino simulator has many built-in examples listed on exciting modules such as NeoPixels, OLEDs and more. Here are a few examples:

  • NeoPixel library from Adafruit:
  • SSD1306 OLED display library from AdaFruit
  • DHT sensor library from Adafruit as well
  • FastLED examples from various contributors on GitHub (all references to the original author provided)
  • Servo motor and potentiometer examples

and many more.

Bottom line is that the Wokwi Arduino simulator makes learning easier with the ample amount of good examples provided to get one started🏇.

PS:<If you have any suggestions for adding more libraries, you are always welcome. Please leave a comment>

Introduction

In this project I am going to discuss how we can simulate Arduino based project. Here we will use a virtual platform(Tinkercad).

Link of the website: https://www.tinkercad.com/

About Tinkercad

Tinkercad is a website where we can virtually simulate our Arduino hardware project. Where we can find a lot of electronic components like Arduino UNO, LED, Resistor, Motion Sensor, Temperature Sensor etc. We can write code for different types of projects.

How to use Tinkercad

Step-1: First we need to create an account to enter the Tinkercad.

Step-2: Then we can enter your respective Dashboard.

Arduino Simulator For Windows 10

Step-3: Select Circuits option from the left menu.

Step-4: Now click on Create new Circuit

Step-5: We can see a layout where we can find the components in the left side.

In this step we can see this page. Here we can differentiate this page into 5 sections.

Section-1: Click and rename your project.

Section-2: We have 6 buttons. Left button is for Rotate our components. We can use r from our keyboard to rotate the components. Then the we have b button to delete a component. After that Undo and Redo button. For Annotation we have also a button. By using annotation we can express our circuit more precisely. Right most button is used for Hide/Show the components.

Section-3: Blank space were we can drag the components from Section-5 and place them to the blank space to construct our circuit.

Section-4: Code button and Simulation button are include in this section. We can export our Arduino code from here.

Section-5: In this section we can find all the components. We just need to click on our desired component and place it to the black space.

Then we need to construct our circuit and then write the code for our desired project.
